Located less than 30 minutes outside of Syracuse, the Hamlet Diner in Chittenango offers a welcoming, chatty and casual atmosphere that you might expect from a small-town diner. They have a no-nonsense, unpretentious menu with prices that make even the most serious penny-pinchers say, “forget cooking at home, let’s go to The Hamlet.”
With prices on the breakfast and lunch menu starting at $2, it’s hard to beat the diner’s prices for the amount of food you’re eating. With so many extras and sides to choose from, it’s simple and cheap to customize your meal. For dinner, The Hamlet is known for its Chicken & Biscuits dish ($6.50). It’s not difficult to eat a full meal and leave without spending more than $10.
